Introducing OpenFoundry: Contribute to SAES:RPG FiveM!

We are officially launching OpenFoundry, our collaborative team for building, testing, and reviewing community resources and core gameplay features for the server.

If you are a developer looking to contribute your own scripts, jobs, mechanics, or systems to SAES, we want to hear from you!

:computer: What We Are Looking For

  • Languages: C# is our preferred language for both the client and server, but we also accept submissions in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Lua. (A custom C# SDK is currently in active development to make building SAES:RPG resources even easier!)
  • Architecture: Strictly server-authoritative, you should never trust the client for state, validation etc.
  • Code Standards: Clean, readable code with comments reserved for explaining why decisions were made, not what the code does.

:exclamation: More information regarding standards, guidelines, architecture will be provided once you have access to the OpenFoundry repo.

:clipboard: Requirements to Join

  1. Prior Resource Experience: You must have demonstrable experience building functional FiveM/game resources. Have code samples, repos, or portfolios ready to share so we can validate your work.

:warning: Custom Core: We do not use existing frameworks (ESX, QBCore, Qbox, ox_core, etc.). SAES:RPG runs entirely on its own custom-built core.

  1. Code Comprehension & AI Usage: AI tools are completely fine to assist your workflow, but cannot be relied upon to build entire resources. You must fully understand the code you submit, be able to debug it, catch edge cases, and explain its architecture during PR reviews.
  2. Branch & PR Workflow: All work is done on feature branches and submitted via Pull Requests.

:star2: Dev Team Pathway: OpenFoundry serves as our active contributor pipeline. Those who consistently submit high-quality, reliable code and adhere to our standards may be invited to join the official Development Team.
